Ricardo Gorski visited Cyprus in 2019 when the island was still undiscovered by many. He saw the potential immediately and decided to relocate for tax & lifestyle reasons.

But there was no guidance on how moving to Cyprus actually works. No roadmap, no trusted source, and no information online about tax residency, property rentals, or daily life on the island so he had to figure everything out himself.

That cost him time, money, and more than a few mistakes that could have been avoided with the right partner.

After navigating his own relocation from Germany to Cyprus, Ricardo started documenting his journey on his YouTube channel Rico Go to help others avoid the very mistakes he made himself.

Little did he know that what began as a few videos about Cyprus would turn into Tax.One a few years later - a relocation advisory that has since helped over 500 entrepreneurs and families make Cyprus their home, without the headaches he went through.

One of those people was Elias Hermann, Ricardo's best friend of over 10 years from Bad Kreuznach, Germany. After exiting his business in Germany, Elias followed Ricardo to Cyprus and the two friends launched Offplan.One together in 2025, quickly finding success in the island's booming real estate market.

But the more properties they dealt with, the clearer one problem became: property management in Cyprus was broken.
