Chlorakas is a coastal village north of Kato Paphos, on the road toward Coral Bay. The older village sits on the hillside; the lower strip follows the coast with shops, hotels and apartment blocks. Paphos harbour is about 6 km south, typically a 10-minute drive. The sea is on the doorstep of the lower village and a short drive from the hill. Homes are mainly apartments in complexes, often with a shared pool, and detached villas with gardens and often a private pool. It suits families, retirees and people relocating who want the coast and shops without living on the harbour strip. Buses run along the coast road into town; a car is more useful on the hill.
